Celestial house

bannercelestial.png

Ever patient and ever kind, students of the Celestial house are a varied bunch. While some student’s sensitivity may not be on full display, at the core of every Celestial student lies a strong passion for life, a penchant for hard work, and a dedication to the bonds of friendship. Though they may seem pushovers, never test their strength- you would be surprised at what power they can wield.

Dedication, Hard Work, Fairness, Patience, Kindness, Tolerance, Loyalty

Common Room

This beautiful jetty has floor to ceiling windows that overlook the school’s lake. These windows have large curtains that usually take multiple students magic to fully pull closed. It is the second highest of the houses spatially, and the most open architecturally.

This common room is the epitome of comfort with large, soft couches, and fluffy rugs. Enchanted clouds float around the room, gentle light emanating from them which changes as the day passes, shift with the weather, or to the wishes of the students. The dorms themselves are down a level, accessible through a staircase that runs along the walls of a recess in the floor. The protective railing keeps any daydreaming pony from falling down a floor accidentally. Magical pink fire lights up the common room, in braziers located here and there. The fire, while giving off some warmth cannot burn the students. Some of the more adventurous or exhausted students have been known to sleep in the braziers during breaks.

House Portrait

The daughter of a prominent botanical wizard from long ago, Forest Dew grew up in a lush garden. As she grew up, the flowers abandoned their phototropic ways and instead grew towards her room.

She could make flowers bloom with a kiss, but all her powers came with a price. Her father used a spell on her to make her immune to all the poisonous plants in his garden to protect her, but transformed her into a living poison as well. Her breath could kill small animals, and knock out full grown stallions; Even her touch was deadly. Eventually she succumbed to her own poison and her father had this portrait made to commemorate his lovely flower.

The portrait herself is very active, though she rarely speaks. She often plays around in the pond in the painting and frequently jumps to other paintings all around the castle to liven up the flowers within them. She can frequently been seen in her father's portrait near the Herbology room.

Uniforms

Incoming students are provided with a dress shirt, a house specific tie, a grey blazer, a black house specific robe, and an optional dark grey skirt. Uniforms are required on campus, with dress code being more relaxed on weekends when classes are not in session. Students can pick up the uniform package in Feverfew Village.

Additionally, students are given an enchanted house quill, journal, scarves, and saddlebag combination for their use during their academic career. Journals and quills are enchanted to be durable, and to never stray too far from their saddlebags, to ensure that students don’t lose their hard work. When released from their saddlebag, quills hover alongside students- ready to take notes as needed.

Celestial robes are magenta, coated with swirling cloud designs, and are tinged with a pale blue that shifts slightly with the time of day. Many first year students easily become entranced by the sunsets dancing across their robes. The feathers for their quills come from Daydream Cygnus’, whose soft downy fluff gently glimmers in the right light. Students are advised not to chew on the quills, lest they may induce drowsiness.
