You come to a crossroad.
Funny. The map never even mentioned one- scribbled down on the parchment is merely a thin black stroke, yet here you are faced with two intersecting winding paths carved out through the grass.
'Tween a mountain and a hill at the end of the road lies a little town that looks as if it'd been conjured up from the dust and shadow. Wooden buildings jut from the ground like the cobbled-together marker of a man buried on the trail. A sign, well worn and long-forgotten, reads Kirkyard Rest.
An unnatural haze hangs over this place. The people within drift through it as if they couldn't see this dreadful fog, though their gazes are left empty. They don't seem to see you- but would you really want them to?
Kirkyard Rest isn't on your map. It never has been.

About
This is a Halloween event for the spooky month of October- 100% for fun, no real money involved.
Completing challenges can earn you coins which can be spent on limited prizes within the confines of Kiryard Rest. There will be plenty of other content too, like spooky stories and other freebies around to enjoy as the site updates!
Kirkyard Rest is themed mostly in celebration of North American folklore, but you don't have to be American to partake in the fun. Thank you for joining us in Kirkyard Rest!
Just a forewarning- by the nature of it being a Halloween event, there will be dark themes and potentially triggering subjects that will be on this site! Things may not entirely be appropriate for younger or more sensitive audiences. PROCEED WITH CAUTION.
How does it work?
To complete a challenge, create a piece of artwork or literature on your selected hosting service (Deviantart, Google Docs, Instagram, etc) and link it to the proper comment boxes which can be found on the CHALLENGES page! Once your challenge has been graded, you'll receive a response of how many coins you got from it. Coins will be awarded throughout the week but guaranteed to check entries on Saturday by 5PM EST.
You can then go to the comment box of the PRIZES page, comment which prize you want, an image of your OC, which base you want, and any other details- and if you have enough coins you'll have a prize slot redeemed! Prizes can be BOTH human and pony!
Prizes are limited, as this is being run by one individual. Don't fret, though! Once a prize is fully spent, the base becomes free to use for the public (So long as you credit the base, and don't use it for profit)!
