Rules will be enforced by our moderators and staff members.
Moderators will focus primarily on OOC infractions. Please listen to any OOC warnings ((in parenthesis)) that are given.
Professors will award and dock points, give detention, and can write permission slips for students. Professors can offer three serious warnings before a student is expelled. Professors cannot use magic to get students to do as they wish in Role Play chats. They can give OOC warnings and delete rule violating content.
Head Students are responsible for the conduct in the house chats. While they cannot directly award points, they can dock points in increments of five. They can give OOC warnings and delete rule violating content, and issue warnings for any major infractions.
1- Follow Equestria Amino’s Community Guidelines when participating on our EA page. Follow the discord server rules when in RP. Make sure that everything is safe for at least a PG-13 audience in general chats.
2- Bullying will not be tolerated. Harassing another user and extending insults to outside of the rp and directing them at the person behind the character is prohibited. If there arises an actual bullying issue, message the moderators, a professor, or your head student.
“Mean” or “Rude” characters are allowed, however teachers can and will punish misbehaving students by docking house points. Staff can be disobeyed in-character unless the order or warning is in ((parenthesis)). This indicates an OOC warning, and must be followed.
3- Keep roleplay chats on topic- excessive OOC behavior is not allowed except for in designated areas. Do not spam any chats; this means no memes, videos, unrelated to the situation drawings, or face reveals. This is also a safe for work environment, so no sexually explicit role plays.
4- You need to be active at least 3-4 times a week! If you’re going to be missing classes, let us know in advance! This includes teachers, if you're going on hiatus you are required to let us know in advance so that we can edit the lesson timetable for that term. If a teacher fails to show up for class without warning the staff or the students, let us know- staff who do not regularly show up for their jobs will be removed.
5- If for whatever reason you are unable or no longer wish to participate in the group simply let us know, and you will be removed, there won't be any hard feelings, you just need to let us know.
6-Please don’t make any new SSSfGU discord or Amino groups. If there is a chat you feel should be created, let us know!
7-No excessive PDA or forced flirting. Romance isn't the focus of this RP; keep it PG-13.
8- A core feature of this RP is teamwork, so please keep that in mind when discussing plot points; don't attempt to exclude other houses.
9-Don’t control other people's characters, or harass them OOC to get them to do things you want them to do! It’s just bad RP etiquette.
10- AN UPDATE: MODERATORS CANNOT BE FORCED TO REVIVE CHARACTERS. Asking for a character to revive will not revive them. Decisions made in RP are final; its ok if one personally disagrees with the rules, but by applying one agrees to follow the rules.
From our application form: If your OC puts themselves into a dangerous situation, they can be subject to harm. Students who have an OC killed off may submit one backup OC. We won't go around killing ponies for no reason- but be warned.
Character restrictions are outlined in regulations. Please note that even if a rule is not directly on the restriction, if moderators warn you it is to be heeded. It is likely that this was not a rule that had to be thought of initially, or the situation was unprecedented.
