Biography
Sleeping Powder is a tall, lean pony with little muscle to him. His coat is a purple and creamy white, with his horn a white (much like his face) that fades to a purple towards the tip. His magic is a dull baby blue, the same color as his right eye. His eyes are peculiar, with 'x' marks for pupils on mismatched orange and blue irises. He has dark grey sclera. He's quite nearsighted due to this. His mane and tail are frizzy and tangled, both dark purple- despite their state, it's quite soft to the touch. He will pull his hair into loose buns or ponytails as not to get it in the way while working.
SP was the result on a one night stand between a drunken mare by the name of Nightlight Nourish and an unknown stallion. His mother, not expecting the pregnancy, hadn't been prepared for his arrival and wasn't financially ready to nurture a child. SP, being an unnaturally active and energetic foal (showing signs of ADHD along with other mental disorders, though never tested), only proved to be a burden to his alcoholic mother, and was put into a local orphanage at merely 4 years old.
Moving onto his teen years, the young stallion had been placed in multiple homes throughout the years, only to be taken back a few days to a week later due to his chaotic nature. This practically killed both his confidence and hopes to find a home of his own, and broke his sense of purpose. He gave in to defeat, and stopped trying whenever it came to interviews with potential guardians.
This put SP into a depressed and broken state, the 14 year old Unicorn's morale dropping drastically as his sense of worthlessness only grew with each day. In an act of desperation, he began to dabble with his own emotional state by using his magical abilities, primarily focusing on raising his euphoria, or sense of "happiness". It was also around this age that he picked up smoking, in order to help relieve the stress.
After years of attempting this and focusing on nothing else, suffering through accidental bursts of pain he had inflicted upon himself and unknown side effects they caused or what long term damage they resulted in, he had succeeded in performing his goal. SP was able to overload his mind with a sense of euphoria at any given moment, and could take it away just as quickly. This is when he earned his cutie mark, which he didn't really care for, having much bigger issues to be concerned with.
From that point on, he merely played with his own emotions in order to suit whichever situation arrived. Another interview blown? He could cheer himself up again. Too hyper, and was disturbing others? Could calm himself down. He became oblivious to the physiological harm he could be doing to himself and proceeded with his unusual spells and treatment of his own mind.
It wasn't before long before he figured out how to do this to not only himself, but others. Once learning this, and getting a grasp of his potential power, the teenager began dabbling in hallucinations. Learning how to conjure up temporary apparitions that could assist him in what he called his "happy treatment", usually creating illusions of things that made him cheerful- his mother appearing more often than anything else.
Two years further down the road, SP was scheduled for an interview with a rather straightforward and determined couple that had their minds set on adopting the young stallion. Being 15, and assuming the two merely pitied him, the stallion went on with it with a poor attitude, not putting in much effort to seem appealing, nor going out of his way to converse with them. Despite this, however, the two seemed intrigued beyond belief and insisted he be theirs. Those who ran the orphanage, knowing that SP was going to be an adult soon, went ahead and went with the adoption without the colts knowledge, thus causing him to be surprised when the couple randomly came to pick him up a few months later.
Much to everyone's surprise, SP went along with the situation (them being unaware that he was simply using his magic to make himself content) and adapted to his newfound home fairly quickly. Turns out, the couple that had took him in wasn't as creepy as they had seemed. They didn't hesitate to express their gratitude and love for him. Because, turns out, the couple were unable to have a child of their own, and had been trying for years to adopt but to no avail.
From that point on, SP finally had a somewhat normal life. He got a job, and lived fairly peacefully. Which resulted in the stallion not having to use his magic very often. When he turned 18 and moved out, his parents gave him a newborn kitten by the name of YoYo to accompany him since they no longer could. With a thank you, and a final goodbye, he set out on his own. Since then, he's been traveling Equestria along side his feline friend. That was until he heard of SSSFGU. Feeling his magical abilities could only expand with the help of the school, already feeling confident in his abilities, he decided to apply there.
Personality
Overall, SP is a very outgoing and chaotic stallion that's just making the most out of life. Being the age that he is, most view the 23 year old as an immature delinquent that doesn't have his head screwed on right- and they're 100% correct. He's a very cunning and ambitious stallion, and has little to no regard of how his actions may bother or upset others. He is a total jokester/prankster, which most don't tolerate, but it's all in good fun. He's usually in a very upbeat mood, and it's rare to catch him down.
Dislikes: Strict ponies (whoo boy SSSFGU will be fun-), anyone who can't take a joke every once in a while, and just boring things overall. Anyone who tries to put a stop to his fun is automatically his enemy in his eyes. Let's see how he handles the professors.

- SP (Sleeping Powder) is a very energetic and chaotic individual, an awfully outgoing individual that is just trying to make the most out of life while he still can. He's quite the trickster and jokester as well, and has little to no concern about how others feel about it.
-SP is a great enthusiast for music, and loves to binge horror novels and plays. Though card or chess games were also a huge interest for him at one point, he rarely finds the time for it anymore. He tried cooking once, but that just ended in a disaster.

Abilities
Emotional Manipulation- SP is able to alter his euphoria levels in order to make himself "happy" or "sad", to put it simply. SP can attempt this on other ponies, but the results vary with no guaranteed success.
Illusions- SP can create a rudimentary illusion, which on first glance can look legitimate but on further inspection can be found to be false. These do not get much larger than a carriage.
Basic Magic- He can levitate small objects as most unicorns can, as well as use weak magical blasts.
