Biography

Warren was born in a small, but comfortable home in the mountains within the Undiscovered West. His mother was an incredibly skilled crater of potions, and his father kept the house stable- though the stallion enjoyed a passion for cooking. His parents were delighted when they saw their little foal for the first time. When Warren turned 2 years old and still hadn't tried to speak yet, his parents grew worried. They packed their things and traveled to Ponyville to see a doctor. When they arrived, they found that Warren had dysfunctions within his vocal chords- he was effectively mute.

When they arrived back home, they knew they had to do something to help their son. Neither was capable of sign language, nor did they have the skill for telepathy, and neither did they have the tools to teach writing to the boy. Therefore, they made the difficult decision to leave their peaceful life in the mountains, and move to Ponyville to seek somepony to help teach their son, as well as teaching themselves with the access to the public library. The two of them moved to a small, but comfortable language, and together the family learned sign language and to have Warren communicate through writing. His parents were very proud of his achievements. His father became the owner of a bed-and-breakfast which was only a few houses away from their own, and his mother became well known for her potion making.

One day his parents decided to send him to school, which he did enjoy for a while, though it was difficult for him to make friends with the other colts and fillies as they found Warren's way of communicating to be strange. None of them understood sign language nor were they literate, so Warren grew used to being alone. Around the age of 10, his parents forbade him to go inside the Everfree forest- though his stubbornness go the best of him. Warren found the place to be nice and quiet just at the edge of the forest (and as he wasn't really INSIDE the forest, he technically didn't break his parents rules.)

One day, he saw a strange blue light coming from deep within the forest, and though he knew it was dangerous, he decided to investigate anyway. What he found shocked him- there was a strange, nearly demonic looking filly hovering around, preforming some sort of ritual. It didn't take her long to notice him, and a short game of hide and seek began. She managed to spook the hay out of him, but she turned out to be much more fun and kinder than she looked. The filly's name was Nia, and she'd been attempting to summon a puppy.

The two became fast friends, with Nia learning sign language to talk to him. Warren's parents were approving, and helped with this. The two received their cutiemarks on the same day, Warren's in kindness and Nia's in universal love. The two ponies have done all manner of crazy and rebellious things together, such as one day when Warren decided to play with his mother's potions ingredients. They placed a lot of random, strange things within it, ignoring that potions tend to have recipes. Warren thankfully didn't suffer any adverse effects on consuming this mess, and only ended up gaining golden hooves and a faint halo effect over his head.
