Biography
Amethyst was only 3 years old when she witnessed her mother passing away. She never quite understood what had happened at the time. Her father decided to take Amethyst and her sister to a small cottage hidden deep into the woods next to Ponyville. By the time she was 8, she was already going on small adventures around the woods on her own.
After turning 15, Amethyst then started going behind her father's back with her sister. They would both sneak out to the town and would study magic in the Ponyville library and would study for hours from very early in the morning to very late at later.
After her sister left for Starswirl's 2 years ago, Amethyst was left behind with her father. Her father didn’t let Amethyst far from home anymore - she had to stay within the gardens. This made her miss a lot of studying, however, a few weeks before Willow's return home her father announced that they were moving to Canterlot so he can begin working. For the previous 2 years Amethyst has spent hours, with the help of her sister, studying to take part in the upcoming semester at Starswirl's.

Additional Information
-Amethyst is labelled being a moody and cheeky mare around ponies she doesn’t know. She also expects things to happen straight away which causes her to get into small tantrums every once and awhile. Amethyst likes to get things done and is easily put into doing some work. She enjoys helping around the house and likes to receive extra work whether it is in the house or at school. However, despite her annoying attitude, Amethyst is a bubbly, sweet and a hard working mare once you finally start to get to know her. She is honest and loyal to those who she thinks deserves her respect.
Abilities
Basic Magic- Amethyst knows the basic unicorn magic and is only a beginner at the more advanced magic.
Defensive Magic- She is only a beginner but she can create a small shield around herself. She also knows a few spells which can lightly knock ponies back.
