Biography
Clarrise is a greenish blue grey pony with spots on her face, and marking on her legs. She has a fairly medium sized horn, and is about 4'2, almost a foot shorter than average ponies.
Clarrise Woods had a life like any other pony. She lived in a small town not too far from Manehatten, called Graven Lakes. She was raised by her older brother, Shawn Woods. Shawn was 5 years older than Clarrise, and not only provided for her, but taught her to appreciate life and the people around her. They lived in a small hovel on the edge of town, and her brother often begged strangers for things just to get by. Clarrise adapted to his determination, and decided to take his opinions to heart. She believed that kindness, loyalty, and persistence could get you anything you wanted, and anything you needed.
Around the time she turned 15, she started a paid apprenticeship with an old stallion, whom the village called 'Old Kook'. He was a librarian, and the village magician. He taught Clarrise how to do basic magic, and eventually larger spells. She learned that she had a knack for magic, and could learn things easily. She was a loyal student whom studied through the night and pursued knowledge. She wasn't anything special, but she sure was dedicated.
Her friends were always there for her. She grew up with three foals, whom she had forgotten over the years. When her brother had received a job offer in Canterlot, she moved away from Graven Lakes. She took up studying at a small set up for royalty, but she herself rarely got to meet anypony important. She was a mere student, and spent most of her time studying and preparing for assessments.
Clarrise made a few new friends in Canterlot; June Sunlight and Ravishing Daydream- one a fashion forward mare whom followed every new trend, and even started her own, and the other a sarcastic stallion whom seemed like a thunderstorm rather than a ray of sunshine. They grew very close over the years, and Clarrise would do absolutely anything for them. When the opportunity to join Star Swirls school arrived, Clarrise joined with a bit of hesitation. She didn't want to leave her friends, nor her brother, but they all urged her to go, and she listened. She signed up and hoped for the best, retaining optimism even though she doubted the whole situation.
Additional Information
-Clarrise is a determined, loyal mare who will never give up or lose hope, even in the face of total pessimism. She is clumsy and sweet, and would probably cry if she hurt a fly. Anytime she steps on her cat's tail, she has a slight meltdown.
-She has a silver Maine Coone.
Abilities
Basic Magic- They can use basic levitation spells on small objects as most unicorns can.
Transfiguration- She's proficient at basic transfiguration, and will take more naturally to spells of this manner.
