Biography
He is on the taller side, with a thinner, but well built, body. His coat is medium grey with light grey hooves, horn tip, upper shoulders, inner ears, and muzzle. His mane and tail are both bright red stripped with close-to-black red. His mane is long in the front and pushed mostly to his right while his tail is long and evenly cut. Occasionally he pulls his tail into a bun. His eyes are tired, but determined looking with dark, but not dull red irises. His magic appears as a neon yellow-green.
Crowley is an incredibly intelligent stallion with zero social skills or understanding of social interaction, yet vigorous appreciation for others. While he is intelligent in the academic sense, he has no common sense. Despite this, he is very open towards others and always trying his best to shove his idiotic butt into others affairs. Dramatically chivalrous and obscure aid is always an offer from him, always willing to help in any way in any situation. He does this in a hopeless attempt for attention and, in the end, companionship. He doesn’t exactly have a grasp of when it is appropriate to say things, what is appropriate to say in the first place, and how to say things in an appropriate manner. Fortunately for his pathetic self, he has been gifted with an incredibly cool and interesting aura, and his personality often reflects that. At least he thinks so… Either way, he’s trying his best. He has little to no knowledge of magic, but is very learned in mathematics, science, the arts and other more traditional, non-magic subjects. He is a highly skilled artist and became quite famous using the alibi of a young recluse artist, who died young, quickly after his rise to fame. He is enamored with the beauty of the world and intricacy of society, wishing to capture this beauty for himself and others through his art. This also gives him a weakness for similarly based objects and gifts. His grandmother is the only magically inclined being in his family and is one of the reasons he’s trying out for a school whose subject matter is decently foreign to him.
Crowley attended a private non-magical school, almost completely ignored by his biological family. In all honesty, he rather preferred this life of seclusion and studying to any other life he could imagine at the time. The school was, while of excellent caliber, very small and rural. It was so rural, that if something were to happen to the school and its students, nopony would be alerted for a good while- certainly not in enough time for help to arrive. As expected in such a situation, disaster struck as a terrible disease spread among the student and faculty residing in the school. Many ponies left to seek medical aid, some stayed, and some left with little to no concern for the disease (with the effects varying, but equally harmful to all). Crowley was one of the few foolish victims who decided to ignore any symptoms, for his were some of the more minor ones. He left the school, and decided to strike out living on his own.
For two years, Crowley resided in the side room of a wealthy couple's massive home, along with several other young adults serving as tenants. His illness advanced, and while it had always been eating away at him, it was only now that it began to show itself in violent and painful spurts. These went from hours of suffering, to days, to eventually weeks. Over his time in the home, the wife of the wealthy couple felt attachment and some pity for this sickly moron. When she felt his sickness would soon claim him, she introduced some 'medicines' of her own to help his ailment. Crowley made a recovery with her assistance, and took advantage of this new lease of life to continue to push forward in his studies- to learn and discover. The newfound family he had been introduced to through this mare helped him through his work, where he not only gained a greater appreciation for life, but for art as well.
As time went on, a longing for companions began to grow inside of him. He never had time for trying to form and keep up relationships previously, and was never really taught how. This had gotten him into quite a bit of trouble in the past; being so desperate for friends that he would fall into groups of bad people. Groups that saw how loyal he would be and what he would be so gullibility willing to do would happily take advantage of him for the low price of calling him their friend, regardless of if they really saw him as one or not. As ignorant and naïve as he is, Crowley eventually separated himself from such groups, yet was never discouraged from always trying to be on the good side of and helping others.
With a bit of motivation from his grandmother, he has decided to seek new knowledge and potential friends in Starswirl’s School. Crowley eagerly, and truthfully impatiently awaits a response to his application.

Light Sensitive- Crowley doesn't like direct sunlight, and keeps an umbrella to keep him comfortably in the shade
