Biography
Elegan was born in the lake of an oasis in the middle of a vast, inhospitable desert. Soon left there alone, she grew up caring for the plants and animals within her lush home, her only interaction with other ponies being from the occasional trader or traveler that came to her seeking water. There she was able to cultivate many rare and difficult plants, and found a love for them. She finally left the oasis to travel the world in search of rare and interesting plants, learning from master cultivators and botanists, before she finally was told by a friend that Starswirl’s was in search of a Herbology teacher. She came here both for purposes of exploring magical plants for her own research, and to find apprentices for her future travels and exploits.
