Biography
Ezila’s story begins many kilometers below the ocean’s surface, where natural light does not touch the stones her people inhabit. Ezila hails from a race of deep dwelling sea ponies; beautiful and proud creatures. However, peace didn’t last long when her empire was attacked. Being one of the top magicians, Ezila and five others were sent to the surface to find any sort of help or magic that could protect the kingdom. Sea magic was not enough.
Ezila watched her comrades be torn away into the darkness by the horrific creatures that chase chased them to the surface; Ezila was the only one to make it. When she crawled up the sands on a stormy beach, with her magic her gills painfully sealed up creating the scars up her neck. Eliza soon realized she had made a grave mistake coming to the surface, for her sea magic did not work out of water. In panic, Ezila searched for help, and quickly learned that trusting ponies on the surface would prove a mistake. Without any magic, merchants immediately tied her up and dragged her off to the black market.
Ezila developed scars from being dragged in tight muzzles and ropes. After escaping, she swore revenge. Ezila had to completely relearn everything she knew about magic. Magic above the surface is completely different, this would be her greatest struggle. After finding a spell that could repel the creatures that attacked her home, Ezila quickly rushed back to her land. But there was no one waiting for her at the surface, only another sea pony mage could turn her back to her original form. And without the help of one of her kind, Ezila was stuck on the surface.
She soon found out everyone she knew was gone- her whole land obliterated. All that studying, all the rushing to understand land magic to fight off these creatures was for nothing. She had a decision to make. Pass on her magic, or end everything right here. With a cold bitter heart, Ezila chose the wise decision and enrolled in star swirls school for gifted unicorns to pass on her magical studies against the dark arts.
