Biography
Mouse has a light brown coat matched with black mice patterns, rounded ears, an orange mane, and vibrant aqua eyes. His mane is tied up into a loose and long ponytail with a little bit hanging out. From his father's side he had a longer tail that had suffered far too much heat damage for it to be wavy like his mane.
Mouse has always been the smallest of his siblings, leading him to be the most rodent like and a drama queen. He used to be so bitter about his life that he never let anyone in really. In his perfect home, dad was always at home, mom was always out. His two other siblings always fought and bickered. Being with his family so often, needing ways to escape is just how Mouse earned his cutiemark.
The mule unicorn hybrid was born with short, wavy hair, aqua eyes and hooves, and a brown coat. He has black patterns that resemble mice except on the left side which contains his favorite birthmark, a teardrop. Mouse also has something from his Father's side, a long unicorn tail and the gift of magic. Yet from his mother he recived rounded ears, eyes that curve down, and the warm colors. A couple like that was frowned upon where he is from as it is odd to find an unicorn with a non-unicorn.
With having to be forced out to attend to school, he met a friend who he got really attached to- somepony who he could relate to on a deeper level. Being friends with them was like be stuck on a carousel with no breaks. They would hurt him, say that they're sorry and do it all over again. It continued until he could see that the pony wasn't worth his time, and he learned to stand up for himself.
Mouse eventually found a new friend to hang out with in a higher education. They did everything together he loved everything the friend did. He only wanted more attention then he got growing up so they got close. Even when she called him things like an idiot and ugly, he didn't care. He adored her enough to sabotage anything to ensure the friendship would stay. However, when his birthday party arrived, he invited her and all his family and nopony showed up. This is when Mouse decided to just stop impressing others with what he could do, but the envy stayed. Around the time he learned real happiness: being all alone with sugary treats and not needing anyone else to rely on and spending the rest of his party burning the cake and decorations. This gave him the love for smoke items and flares.
After that day was a new pony, he was never the same. Actually, he was better. He seemed to take things to heart easier and wasn't afraid to stand his ground if he was feeling like ponies were attacking him. Seeing so many ponies changing themselves to be liked and showing it off; he thought pain was beauty, just wasting years to get thinner and grow his hair out to be in a long ponytail.
At the age of 17, Mouse had reflected on his life by often sharing bits in pieces with strangers and others would say, "Oh. That's tough." He thought it was wonderful. Imperfect and emotional yet he had to get away from his past. Deciding to study something that can actually get him out of sticky situations.
Now a few days from a birthday, Mouse decided to take a risk to pack his bags and run away from his hometown, thinking nopony would notice that he was gone. He was wrong as it took no time to figure out that he wasn't staying for dinner. Though he loved his parents' cooking, he ditched the meal.
For over a year, the unicorn devoted the majority of his time to solving puzzles, escape rooms, mazes, and figuring out how to use his magic for cool spells and such. Mouse wanted to come back home and show off everything that he has worked days on end for. Yet so far, he was never satisfied with what he could do. When he found about Starswirl's School, he knew he was a gifted unicorn but not that gifted yet; he took his chances with applying.
With waiting for a response or an application letter, he had anxiety for days on end, thinking that he wouldn't get it if he kept traveling and going to other places. For the most part of traveling, he slept on doorsteps on inside libraries when he could.
He did get his letter and no one can quite say how excited he was to prove he was just as good as his other siblings! So much pride he had that he immediately had to figure out where to get his supplies and everything. He wanted to be prepared for something he knows nothing about- but when he arrived at Starswirl's, he wasn't.
Abilities
Rodentlike- He has similar qualities to rats and mice. Being as small as he is, he is able to fit into tiny places and small spaces that would normally stop ponies larger than him. He can also chew through soft paper and board.
Focused- He has a rather long attention span, being able to concentrate on a target or object until he is finished with the task.
Houdini- Mouse is a gifted escape artist- that's what his cutiemark stands for. He knows how to get out of a situation as soon as possible before damage can be done to himself, be it through physical escape, ratting someone out, or lying. With this, he's trained to be able to hold his breath for an incredible 30 mins at a time to aid in any escape attempts.
