Often quiet and anxious when left to his own thoughts. However, when with other ponies he will endeavor to be as supportive and helpful as possible.
Biography
Written was born in Manehatten, however moved away almost as soon as he was born- his father preferring to live in more rural areas far from the city. Written was not bothered by this aside from his occasional spurts of anger, mischief, and distinct willing to fight his older brother. Despite being highly intelligent and isolationist, written was often perceived as proud, and would be bullied for his vast knowledge even at a young age. Written entered high-school optimistically, but as he made very few friends he threw himself instead into his studies, coming out with high grades. He continued to pursue his writing throughout his higher education and made a living from writing several books- both educational and fictitious.
After several months of poor sales of his newest book, he was struggling to earn enough money to stay afloat. Eventually, his older brother, an archaeologist and lecturer, suggestion he become a professor at Starswirl's. Although he has difficulty with magic in other areas, he quickly decided to apply as the transfiguration professor. Due to his species, he learned that he had an affinity for transfiguration, even using this skill to magically transition after coming out as transgender. Written is able to shapeshift between unicorn, a mistlike form, and a centaur, but as it is a painful transformation he rarely uses it- especially in company of others.
Written became a professor at SSSfGU in 1864, and worked dutifully to provide students with an excellent education in transfiguration.
Additional Information
-He has one family pet, a dragon-dog named Balthy
-He is transgender, but discovered a spell which allows him to appear as a stallion
-Occasionally he struggles with a spell that should be simple, due to having an 'old' unicorn horn. Due to this he will often be found consulting paintings and murals throughout the school for help with his magic.
-He has a phobia of basking sharks, closed doors, maths, and getting things wrong
-If there is a fountain or swimming pool at hoof, Written tends to relax in it.
-Written (though undiagnosed) has High-Functioning Autism, and struggles to read facial expressions or body language as a result. He also has occasional bouts of insomnia, struggles with introductions, and can become angry or passionate about things which matter little to others.
